Online Child Library Card Application

If your child or teen already has a library card, please do not use this form. Visit any one of our locations or contact us and we will be happy to help you with your card.

The Instant Digital Card provides New Haven residents with free access to many of our online resources. This form will verify the Parent/Caregiver's New Haven address. Once verified, you will receive a New Haven Free Public Library digital card for your child via email. If you would like a physical card, please visit any of our library locations.

If we are not able to verify the Parent/Caregiver's New Haven address, you will receive a temporary 30-day card that must be renewed in-person with proof of address at any NHFPL Locations.
